There are 5 general categories in which volunteers can contribute: Food Assistance, Shelter Support, Storage Unit Operations, GOD POD Support, and Special Events. In most cases, we kindly request that you provide a dependable character reference. (Please note: No one under 14 allowed in the shelter, between 14-17, areas of volunteering restricted and a parent or guardian must remain with youth at all times)

Food Assistance:
Shift 1 (5:00 pm - 8:00 pm):
Prepare and serve evening meals during the shelter season.
Shift 2 (5:30 am - 7:30 am):
Assist with breakfast and bagged lunch meal preparation.
Shelter Support:
Shift 1 (5:30 pm - 9:00 pm):
Help with check-in procedures for guests.
Shift 2 (9:00 pm - 5:30 am):
Participate in overnight shifts, which can be split into two shifts (9 pm - 1 am and 1 am - 5:30 am).
Shift 3 (5:30 am - 7:30/8:00 am):
Assist with guest check-out in the morning.
Storage Unit Operations:
Assist in organizing, sorting, and packaging donations and supplies for the shelter season.
GOD POD Support:
Help with loading and unloading shelter supplies and equipment used during the shelter season.
Special events:
Warm Up Williamsburg:
Aid in packaging and distributing soup for this event.
359 Campaign:
Assist with tasks like stuffing envelopes and distributing campaign materials.
